Open Season On Women In Egypt

There is a new new hobby spreading fast in Egypt. Gang rape. No, that is not something out of a new Sacha Baron Cohen movie. It's all over the blogosphere.
Reading this made me feel sick. Why are women in Egypt treated like this? I dont think we are alot better than Saudi Arabia, Iran and Afghanistan when it comes to treatment of women. We are just as bad. Nothing surprizes me anymore in Egypt. Whats next? Stoning women in public squares. Who knows?

Another Asshole!

Sheikh Taj el-Din al-Hilali is another Egyptian asshole who was allowed to preach a load of bullshit in Australian mosques, but just imagine, we have hundreds if not thousands worse than him in Egypt who seem to be completely unaccountable.

Hilali has been barred from preaching for up to three months and although I dont agree wth everything that the Australian Premier John Howard says, I agree with him this time that the action was insufficient.

This is a transcript of his shit. Some real gems in there:

"atheists, people of the book [Christians and Jews] will end up in hell. And not part-time. For eternity. They are the worst in God's creation."

"Adultery is 90% the women's responsibility. Why? Because a woman possesses the weapon of seduction."

"If you take uncovered meat and put it on the street, on the pavement, in a garden, in a park or in the backyard, without a cover and the cats eat it, is it the fault of the cat or the uncovered meat? The uncovered meat is the problem. If the woman is in her boudoir, in her house and if she's wearing the veil and if she shows modesty, disasters don't happen."

"Satan tells women: You're my weapon to bring down any stubborn man. There are men that I fail with. But you're the best of my weapons."

Why America?

In an article under the title of "Why America?" published in the Saudi Al Watan newspaper, Tamir al-Mayman asks: why Saudis have to undergo more thorough searches than anyone else when flying on US airlines???

Good question. I wonder why?

15 of the 19 September 11 hijackers where what? Tibetan? No no, I think they were Congolese. Stupid Americans.

Saudi Justice

This article was published in the Saudi Newspaper Okaz.

To cut a long story short, "A" owed some money to "B" and was stalling over returning the money. "A" accidently bumped into "B" and tried to stop him, but "B" ran away, got into a car and sped off with some friends. "A" pulls out a gun and shoots at the car killing "C" who was one of the passengers in "B's" car.

According to Saudi law, this is unlawful killing and "A's" head should be chopped off with a sword in a public square, but according to Saudi law too, the family of the murder victim can accept "diyya" (blood money) in return for fogiveness.

"C's" family agreed to forgive "A" and in return, "A" is to build a mosque to be named after "C" and pay his family 4 million Riyals.

So "A" will be a free man but a few million Riyals poorer.

This doesn't sound right to me, because what it actually means is that you can get away with murder if you can afford it, i.e.: there is two types of justice, one for the rich and one for the poor.

Beyond Human Comprehension

If the human brain were ever simple enough for us to understand it, we would be too simple to understand it.

The same applies to life in Egypt. The more it becomes chaotic, stupid and full of shit, the more difficult it is for me to understand what is going on.

Am I making any sense???

Fuck it.

WTF

WTF did this pervert do the poor little girl? This paedophile's place is behind bars. How can this piece of shit be allowed to abuse children like that? I am shocked.

The Taliban Way

The kidnappers of an Italian photojournalist in Afghanistan demanded on Tuesday the return of an Afghan Christian convert living in Italy in exchange for keeping the reporter alive.

The kidnappers of 36-year-old Gabriele Torsello gave four days for their demand to be met.

Earlier this year Italy granted political asylum to 41-year-old Afghan Abdul Rahman, who faced possible execution under Islamic Sharia law in Afghanistan for converting to Christianity.

Mubarak's Silver Jubilee

Why has there been no mention of Mubarak's presidential silver jubilee???

It should have been marked as a big occasion, because now Mubarak is the longest serving ruler of Egypt since Mohammad Ali, who died in 1848.

Quite an achievement!

But there was no mention of it in state media and I havent seen anything on the Ikhwan's site or the Kefaya site. Why?

We Have Our Own Fucked Up Veil Controversies

ًWe have a veil crisis in Egypt too

A few days ago, President of Helwan University Abdel-Hai Ebeid banned students wearing the niqab (batman costume) from residing at the university's hostel, citing security reasons.

Why did he do this? Well, he was worried about men secretely slipping into the women's hostel!!!

Before banning the veil, Ebeid hired females to check the faces of the students wearing the niqab at the hostel entrance. But the president felt that it would be impossible to check each and every student, since nearly 50 per cent of the 700 hostel residents wear the niqab. "This is absurd, especially during Ramadan when all the students arrive at the hostel at the same time," he explained.

All the students at the hostel wearing the niqab have since taken it off, opting to only wear the hijab (head cover) in order not to be turned out on the street. Most hostel residents come from distant governorates and have nowhere else to stay, but they are not happy and hundreds continue to demonstrate against the decision.

25 Years Of Hosni Mubarak

October 14th marks the 25th anniversary of the elevation of Hosni Mubarak to presidency after a guy called Khaled Al Islambuli punctured a few holes in his predecessor Anwar Al Sadat. My one observation for now is that since 1981 we only had one president while Britain had 3 prime ministers, the US had 5 presidents and Israel had 8 prime ministers. That is because we Egyptians, unlike the Brits, Americans and Israelis, are less fussy about trivial things like "who governs us"?

Our Grand Mufti Is A Dick

I never realized that our mufti was such an asshole before I stumbled accross this on youtube. Our grand mufti, sheikh Ali Gomaa is basically saying that it's OK to beat up your Egyptian wife, but if your wife happens to be Canadian then beating her up might not be such a good idea. Sheikh Gomaa, you are a cunt. If anyone should be beaten up, it's you.

Veils Suck

Salman Rushdie gave his opinion in the niqab debate that was sparked by Jack straw.

He said: "Straw was expressing an important opinion which is that veils suck, which they do. I think that the veil is a way of taking power away from women."

Rushdie also said: "I think the battle against the veil has been a long and continuing battle against the limitation of women, so in that sense I am completely on Straw's side."

And I am completely on Salman's side.

The Veil Debate

Jack Straw, British MP and leader of the House of Commons sparked a debate about the full veil (burka or niqab or whatever) when he said he believed covering faces could make community relations more difficult. That's an understatement Jackie boy.

Consider these two facts:
1) A male terror suspect in the UK escaped capture for several days by dressing as a Muslim woman in a burka. Eventually the smart ass was caught (This happened on several occasions in Egypt and I am sure elsewhere).
2) The Sun journalist Anila Baig told how she passed through Leeds-Bradford airport wearing a niqab covering her head, without being asked to show her face.

If you ask me, niqab should be banned because of the dangers of concealing a person's identity. If the extremists argue that banning the niqab breaches their human rights, I'll tell them that it wouldnt have been a problem if we didnt have so many fucking terrorists in our midst. Sad but true.

Sorry niqab babes, but Batman's place is in the movies not out on the streets.

Women To Test Women... Fuck Me!

Malaysia will allow only female officers to conduct driving tests for women learner drivers to meet Islamic guidelines barring close contact between unmarried people of the opposite sex. This is hilarious.

The Four Stage Of A Man's Life

These are the four stages in a man's life:

1- You believe in Santa
2- You dont believe in Santa
3- You are Santa
4- You look like Santa

But by the time you reach the fourth stage you will not care about your looks because you will have Alzheimer's desease anyway. Now there are two good things about Alzheimer's:

1- It's the only desease that sounds like a German beer
2- With Alzheimer's you meet new people every day.
