Sawiris and the Salafi Micky Mouse

This is the picture that angered the Salafis and made them take Naguib Sawiris to court and accuse him of insulting Islam.

First of all its a ridiculous accusation because he did not insult Islam. He poked fun at the absurd way the salafis dress. Completely different things. If you think that salafis dress like clowns you are not insulting Islam.

Even the radical Muslim Brothers dont dress like the idiot salafis and they dont call for women to wear the oppressive niqab.

By posting this picture Sawiris highlighted something very important, which is how the salafis are trying to enforce their stupidity on us and demonize anyone who would dare to object.

The salafis are adopting the attire of their fellow idiots, the Saudi wahabis which according to them is what prophet Mohammad and his followers used to wear 1400 years ago.

But as the late and great Farag Fouda explains in this clip, there is no such thing as "Islamic dress". The prophet used to wear the clothes that were common in his days. Even his enemies used to wear the same clothes.

Basically what the salafis are trying here is to force their twisted ideology on us and to incite and agitate against Christians and the fact that their deranged lawsuit was accepted by the judicial is worrying.

Maths of blood & death

If Copts make up 10% of the population of Egypt (and that is a very conservative estimate), then the sum of Copts killed starting from the new year's eve Alexandria massacre up till the Maspero massacre is equivalent to more than 1000 out of the general population of Egypt.

This is more than the total number of people who Mubarak killed during the Jan 25 revolution and who include many Copts :(

قال محمد سليم العوا في ندوة أقيمت أمس بجامع رابعة العدوية:

أرفض بشدة وجود حزب شيعى ومصر لا يصلح إلا أن يحكمها إسلامى

وقال أيضاً:

إن منصب رئاسة الجمهورية يجب أن لا يحصل عليه إلا من يستحقه.

هذا العوا يطلق على نفسه لقب "مفكر إسلامي". وهو لقب مضلل لأن الجزء الاول منه غير صحيح فالعوا وأمثاله لا يستحقون من الألقاب سوى المتعصب أو العنصري أو المتخلف.

إذا سمحنا للأخوان بتأسيس حزب فلماذا لا نسمح للشيعة بل للمسيحيين والوهابيين وغيرهم من الفئات؟

وعندما يقول العنصري سليم العوا ان الإسلاميين فقط هم من يصلحون للرئاسة ألا يناقض بذلك كلامه عن ان الرئاسة يجب ان تكون لمن يستحقها؟ أليس من الممكن ان يكون هناك مسيحي مصري أقدر من اي مسلم على تقلد هذا المنصب؟.

ويقول العوا أيضاً إنه "لن يتأخر" عن تولي الرئاسة إذا طلب منه الشعب...

الأخوان والسلفيون يتآمرون لتدمير مصر

أحداث إمبابة نؤكد إجرام وسفالة السلفيين الذين يتآمرون مع الأخوان للاستيلاء عل الحكم واستعباد المصريين وإقامة دولة إرهابية.

يحاول السلفيون فرض تطرفهم على المصريين ويستفيد الأخوان بالتظاهر بأنهم أكثر اعتدالا من السلفيين لكي يقبلهم المصريون كحكومة.

وبدلا من يدين الأخوان إجرام السلفيين فإن عصام العريان المتحدث باسم الجماعة قال كلاما أهبل، حيث عبر عن "حزنه وانزعاجه من الأحداث الطائفية التى شهدتها إمبابة مساء السبت" وقال إن "على السلفيين تبرئة انفسهم من هذه الأفعال".

كلامك سخيف يا عريان. كيف يمكن للسلفيين أن يبرئوا أنفسهم وهم مجرمون؟

ولكن هذا ليس مستغربا من عصام العريان الذي قال بالحرف "إن مقتل بن لادن ليس نهاية مطاف محاربة أعداء الله فى الأرض".

يعني الأخوان يعتبرون أن أسامة بن لادن وتنظيمه الإرهابي المجرم هم محاربون ضد أعداء الله. هل يقصد العريان أن آلاف المدنيين الأبرياء الذين قتلهم بن لادن حول العالم كانوا أعداء الله؟؟

إذن لا فرق بين الأخوان والسلفيين والقاعدة. كلهم مجرمون وقتلة هدفهم إقامة نظام حكم دموي ومستبد.

Pope Shenouda made a very clear and commendable statement about his hopes for a democratic and civil Egyptian state. This is the kind of voice we need to hear more of not the religious state bullshit that is coming out of the Muslim Brotherhood and the salafis. Thank you.

The Alexandria Church Massacre

I will start by looking backwards in time (only a few decades). The modernn day attrocities against Christians in Egypt started roughly in 1972 in Khanka where a church was burned and Christians were attacked by Muslim fundamentalists. Then in 1981 AlZawya Al Hamra in Cairo witnessed the most horrible acts of senseless attacks on Copts. 81 killed. Between 1998 and 2000 around 30 Copts were killed in Al Kosh'h in Southern Egypt. The Alexandria death toll could be as high as 50 and this was the first time explosives have been used to kill and maim such a big number of Christians.

In between the incidents mentioned above was a string of many smaller scale attacks that involved killings, stabbings, burning churches and destroying property and all of that happened in an environment that was getting more intollerant and discriminatory towards Copts thanks to the rise of Islamic extremism.

The Egyptian government can blame external elements or green aliens as much as it likes, but the sad reality is that Christians in Egypt are targetted and after every attack we just give them a pat on the back and ask them to get on with it because we love them and we are all Egyptians and all the rest of that crap.

I hear harrowing stories from Copts about the discrimination and abuse they experience in their everyday life, when they apply for jobs or even att schools and universities.

It now seems inevitable that Copts will hit back and become militant and hostile and thats a normal reaction. I would be like that if I grew up as a child to be told that my father or mother were killed by a scumbag who shouted Allahu Akbar before detonating his belt.

As long as we have a government that is pandering to the Muslim extremists and using them to justify their autocracy attacks on Copts will increase and spiral out of control.
