I love conspiracy theories

According to this, the heat wave conspired with electrical faults in order to grind Cairo's traffic to a halt.

You see, it's never incompetence or dysfunction. It's always a fucking conspiracy.

Reading Al Ahram always brings out the beast in me.

The "Strike"

Whatever you make of today's strike, the beautiful thing about it is that it really made the government a-holes shit in their pants.

The front page of Al Ahram says:

- Salaries are going up by 20% soon
- Salaries have gone up by 210% since 1992
- Finance Minister: If the economy keeps on growing we'll be able to nake more salary increases.
- There is no strike, but the interior ministry warns you: strike and you're screwed.
- Prices are going down.
