WHAT???

Egypt has rejected a report by human rights group Amnesty International that accused it of the systematic torture of prisoners. The foreign ministry said:

The Egyptian government was offended by the report which was inaccurate and unfair.

I am really sorry that the Egyptian government was offended, but I assume that so was Emad Al Kabir when he was sodomised with a stick.

The foriegn ministry genuis who wrote the statement did not clarify which part of the report was inaccurate and unfair:

Was it the bit that said that torture was pervasive in police stations and prisons? or the other bit about Egypt has becoming an international centre for interrogation and torture on behalf of other states as part of the "war on terror"?

The foreign ministry statement also said:

Egypt had made real and continuous achievements in the field of human rights.

Shame on Amnesty International for spreading such lies about Egypt.

  • I feel sorry for Egypt and for the Egyptians! I feel sad for wonderful and creative people like the Egyptians to exprience such treatment.
I watched the other day the first part of the documentary about how police are treating/mistreating prisoners... no difference from what Saddam used to do with the Iraqis when he was in power. No difference from what other Iraqi governments did in the past four years to its prisoners. I won't blame the occupier, but the agony when someone form one country, the same flesh and blood do something like that to his own people.
